The Si Concept includes performance features such as 18-inch cast aluminum wheels with 225/40R high performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes with large cross-drilled brake rotors. Honda Newark How To Buy A Honda In Newark For 90% Off

Honda Newark - How To Buy A Honda In Newark For 90% Off
By Rob Richards

Honda ... Newark the two go together like cherry blossoms and Branch Brook Park! If youre looking for a Honda, Newark, then be ready to pay a pretty penny! This article will show you how to get a Honda, Newark, for up to 90% off of retail.

Honda Newark The Problem

All of us have only so much that we can spend on our cars. We all have to make choices in life and choosing to have a car or not in Newark isnt really a choice, its a requirement! Oh sure, there is mass transit available, but its always on someone elses schedule and never very convenient. Life in Newark, since it is so spread out, dictates that we have our own set of wheels.

The problem arises though, when we are faced with the finite amount of money available to buy a car. If youre thinking of buying a Honda, Newark, you have made a good choice. Hondas are very reliable, the insurance and maintenance costs for Hondas are reasonable and they are worth every penny you put into them, and then some!

But again, what are we to do when we only have so much to spend? Perhaps you would like to be driving a car that is only 1 or 2 years old, but your bank account says a ten to twelve year old car would be better. When faced with these types of situations, we are given a very limited number of options.

Honda Newark The Not So Good Option

The first solution that comes to mind for many people is to go out and borrow the money for a car. People do it all the time. If you were to walk into a new or used car dealership tomorrow, you could conceivably drive away in a new or nearly new car. You would feel pretty good about your purchase, that is, until you had to make your first payment.

Many car loans last for five or six years. Do you really want to be making payments for that long? Think about what you could be doing with that extra $300 or so each and every month, if you didnt have a big car payment to make. Think about what $300 could pay for. The vacation that you could easily save for. The new wardrobe your wife has needed. Costs for sending your kids to college. There are plenty of things that you would rather purchase, if only you didnt have that big car payment to make.

If youre thinking right now that thats just the way it has to be, Ive got some good news for you!

Honda Newark A Better Option

OK, you need a Honda, Newark, but you dont want to spend full price or anything even approaching full price. What are you to do? You could scour the classifieds until you find a great car at a reasonable price, but this could take a long time to weed through the lemons. You could spend time searching through the lots, looking for just the right car, but you wont get much of a deal. Or you could try thinking outside of the box and find your next car through an online auction.

Yes, thats right, online auctions. Everyday thousands of vehicles are impounded or seized by banks and government agencies like the police, sheriff, DEA, FBI and even the IRS. These cars could have been seized for a number of reasons and they are then sold to the public at a deep discount. How deep? As much as 90% off!

If youre looking for a Honda in Newark, you have several options. If paying full price or going into debt for the next 4-6 years doesnt sound appealing, then you need to do yourself a favor and look into online auctions.

Sound too daunting of a task? Dont worry, Ive done ALL the legwork for you. To see my # 1 Recommended Source for getting your next Honda Newark for as much as 90% off, Click Here... http://www.squidoo.com/Police-Impound-Cars/

Safe and Secure in a 2006 Honda Accord

Safe and Secure in a 2006 Honda Accord
By Amber M Sell

When shopping for a new car there are so many things to consider, including the features, accessories, upgrades, and dont forget about all the financing options. But no matter how extravagant these features may seem, they are only distracting you from what should be your main concern and first priority when car shopping safety. Even though every new vehicle must meet the minimum federal safety standards, it is obvious that some cars have been manufactured with your familys safety in mind. Some manufacturers not only attempt to meet the minimum safety standards, but strive to stretch the limits. This is extremely noticeable in the 2006 Honda Accord as it emphasizes safety with its first-rated seatbelts and top-quality airbags.

Seat Belts

Nothing is provides more safety then seat belts. They are the primary protection in every vehicle. The 3-point seat belt with pretensioners is as standard in the 2006 Honda Accord. Each seat belt rides across the lap and chest to help restrain passengers during sudden stops or impacts, and provides superior protection. The features that make this seat belt so unique are the automatic tensioning system and the load limiters. The automatic tensioning system causes the seat belt to instantly tighten upon impact to restrain any forward movement from the passengers body. The load limiters work together with the tensioning system by allowing the seat belts to loosen just enough to relieve the passengers body of the sudden force while still controlling the overall restraint. Additionally, the 2006 Honda Accord includes adjustable seat belt anchors that adjust perfectly to the passengers height, optimizing their comfort and safety.

Airbags

Today airbags are mandatory in all new cars and are designed to act as a supplement to seat belts. When airbags and seat belts are used together, there is a significantly higher reduction in serious head injuries when compared to people using seat belts alone. The 2006 Honda Accord is manufactured with top-quality airbags that offer outstanding protection.

  • Dual-Stage, Dual-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS).

In the event of a collision, sensors will detect the front impact and cause the dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags to inflate and deflate in a fraction of a second. Depending on the level of impact, the airbags will inflate at various speeds; high impacts cause rapid deployments and low impacts cause slow deployments. The speed of inflation also accounts for whether or not the passenger is wearing a seat belt. All these features help prevent serious head and chest injuries.

  • Side Curtain Airbags.

The side curtain airbag in the 2006 Honda Accord increases protection during side collisions. The airbag is positioned along the side of the headliner, providing a layer of protection between the passengers upper body and the car door. In the event of an impact to the side of the car, five sensors will cause the airbags to quickly inflate, providing further protection for all outer passengers.

  • Front Side Airbags with passenger-side occupant position detection system (OPDS).

In the event of a side impact, sensors will cause side airbags to immediately inflate. The OPDS uses a total of seven sensors in the front passengers seatback to detect the height and seating position of the passenger. If a child or small-statured adult is leaning forward into the path of the side airbag, the sensors will deactivate the airbag. The driver will immediately be notified by a warning light. Similarly, the warning light will turn off as soon as the passenger sits back in the upright position.

The 2006 Honda Accord continues its tradition of being among the best cars on the market. If safety is your first priority a 2006 Honda Accord is the right car for you. It will give you all the safety measures and precautions to keep you safe.

Honda Officially Breaks Ground For New $550M Indiana Plant

Honda Officially Breaks Ground For New $550M Indiana Plant
By Katie Jones

The Honda Motor Co., Ltd. earlier held an official groundbreaking ceremony for its new plant in Indiana. The $550 million-worth Honda plant dubbed as the Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) will build the popular fuel-efficient Civic sedan.

The new Honda plant has 2,000 associates to take care of the Civic sedan production which is scheduled to begin in the fall of next year. HMIN will be managed by Yuzo Uenohara, its first president. Uenohara is the former senior vice president at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC.

In Indiana we will create an efficient and flexible manufacturing environment that is a great place for everyone to work, said Koichi Kondo, the president and CEO of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., and chief operating officer of Honda's North American Regional operations. In this way, we are breaking ground for more than an auto plant. We are breaking new ground in our relationship with the people of Indiana and our customers in America.

The automaker has first announced its plan to build the new plant on June 28, 2006. The plant is intended to cater to a total production capacity of 200,000 vehicles per year. This move is aimed at meeting the growing customers demand.

The site preparation for the plant is complete and the construction has started on a 1,700-acre tract in Decatur County, Indiana. The place is near Greensburg, which is 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

HMIN is the automakers seventh plant in North America. It will also be part of the 17 major Honda manufacturing facilities in said territory. The plant is expected to bolster Hondas total North American production capacity from 1.4 million units to over 1.6 million by next year. The plant is expected to hold more than 37,000 associates. Additionally, it is intended to boost the North American capital investment to over $9 billion.

Over the years, we will ask the associates of Honda Manufacturing of Indiana for their ideas to make our products better and the plant the safest place it can be, said Uenohara, the new president of Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. This is the Honda way and this spirit will guide us at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana.

Major production processes at the new Indiana plant will cover stamping, welding painting, plastic injection molding, sub-assembly as well as final assembly operations of Honda body parts and other auto accessories. For the 2009 Civic sedan, the automaker is featuring the fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines built in Anna, Ohio. However, the vast majority of Honda Civic auto parts will be manufactured by the automakers current base of over 600 North American suppliers. In 2006, Honda has acquired over $17.6 billion in parts and materials from suppliers in North America.

Katie Jones writes for a local newspaper and her beat involves the latest updates in the automotive industry. She is also working on her book on cars during her spare time. You can visit Honda body parts for more information.

Do More Than Just Cover Your Honda Wheels

Do More Than Just Cover Your Honda Wheels
By Joe Thompson

Out in the market today are many types of wheel covers specifically made for your beloved Honda. Honda wheel covers actually do more for your Honda than just cover your wheels.

Wheel covers are commonly mixed up with hubcaps. However, looking more closely at these two, wheel covers cover the entire wheel of your vehicle, while, on the other hand, hubcaps, cover only the hub, or the center of your wheel. These wheel covers are made from tough material they are created and manufactured using plastic or metal retainers, so as to facilitate better and easier fastening to your Honda wheels. They are clipped on your vehicles wheel to accentuate your wheels and, at the same time, protect it from mud, grime, snow, dirt, water, and other elements that could prove to be damaging or corrosive to your wheels.

Honda wheel covers are not necessarily considered a requirement for your car, however, they can actually improve your wheels appearance greatly. You see, wheel covers have been created to cover your entire wheel and conceal from view the ugly bolts that attach your wheel to its axle. And along that line, it adds distinction and uniqueness to your Honda wheels to your Hondas overall appearance.

In choosing your wheel covers, you may opt for those that have been especially manufactured and created to be durable, lightweight, able to withstand really extreme and excessive temperatures, and also created to be resistant to corrosion. Wheel covers that had been made just merely for decorative purposes may actually damage easily and damage your wheels as well.

The Iconic Hairdresser Friendly: 2006 Honda Civic Coupe

The Iconic, Hairdresser Friendly: 2006 Honda Civic Coupe
By Saurabh Sharma

Transforming an icon is never easy. However, the designers and engineers at Honda have done an outstanding job of keeping alive the spirit of Soichiro Honda with the 2006 Honda Civic coupe. When Honda first entered the American market in 1962, they manufactured motorcycles, but the manufacturer expanded to automobiles by introducing clean, economical, and reliable cars. In 1963, Honda spent $350,000 on two 90-second commercials that appeared on the Academy Awards. The ads, though deceptively simple from longtime ad agency Rubin Postaer and Associates, claimed: You meet the nicest people on a Honda. Within months, the company sold millions of dollars in motorcycles, but it was not until the introduction of the 1973 Honda Civic did the company achieve its first automotive breakthrough. The American made 2006 Civic is elegant, speedy, safe, and fuel efficient car averaging 40 mpg (51 mpg for the Hybrid) that happily keeps with tradition. Winner of Motor Trend magazines 2006 Car of the Year, the 2006 Civic offers a challenge to the Toyota Prius, as Hondas icon reborn.

If you walk around the 2006 Civic coupes exterior, you cant help but notice the aerodynamically sculpted front nose that resembles a menacing bullet train at speed, hints at where the soul of this car is at. (The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.8 liter i-VTEC engine.) The beautifully contoured taillights are wide and arch inwards into the trunk, suggesting an approachable, friendly disposition. Step inside the cabin and the ergonomically designed interior lives up to the hype with stylized, center mounted, backlit RPM dials. The seats are firm and immediately make you feel comfortable as a rogue navigator contemplating his or her next move. The sum purpose of the 2006 Civic coupe is to enhance driving to the fullest, enabling you to keep your eyes on the road, hands on the wheel and foot on the gas.

At the heart of 2006 Honda Civic coupe is its outstanding 140-horsepower i-VTEC engine that comes standard in all Civic DX, LX and EX models. Hondas racing heritage is vociferously felt in i-VTEC technology that gives you more efficient acceleration across the entire RPM bandwidth, while achieving an EPA estimated fuel economy of 40 miles per gallon. However, the most practical 2006 Civic is the Hybrid, capable of achieving 49 mpg in the city, and 51 mpg on the highway without spoiling any of the fun. The Civic showcase is the Si, offering the performance envelope of 197 horses from a naturally aspired 2.0-liter engine. The Si is only available in a 6-speed manual, with limited slip differential, and a lowered suspension.

Acceleration is only half the battle in todays nanosecond world. How the car brakes, corners, and stops are also equally important. As a result, the 2006 Honda Civic coupe is also big on safety. All new Civic models feature side curtain airbags, front side airbags, advanced compatibility engineering and body structure reinforcement to redirect energy around the passenger compartment in case of an accident. For active safety, an automatic seat belt tensioning system is in place to securely hold all occupants in case of collision, and the anti-lock, 4-wheel disk brakes (ABS) will enable you to maintain steering control during hard stops as the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) will even out braking forces at each wheel. With such a diverse commitment to safety, the 2006 Honda Civic has earned the 5-Star Crash Test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

If that wasnt enough, the new Civic further rewards your senses with a state of the art audio entertainment system. The car is pre-wired for XM Satellite Radio, MP3 players and WMA and also has an Apple iPod adapter that connects directly to the cars audio. The 160-watt AM/FM/CD 6-speaker audio system amplifies the sound in the cabin for a fantastic effect. The Si boasts a 350-watt system with subwoofer and has an added amplifier for mega bass. Simply download your favorites, plug in your music and press play.

Soichiro Honda understood the desires of the open road. He understood the language of cool, and the needs of the youthfully minded sports car enthusiast. The 2006 Honda Civic fulfils his legacy for an inexpensive road car, with superb lines, a fuel efficient engine, and sound ergonomics. If you have previously owned a Civic, the MSRP of $14,360 $20,900 for the reinvented 2006 Honda Civic will awaken all senses. If you own a higher priced luxury car, you may be tempted to trade it in. Whether you choose the Hybrid, the Si, or the DX/LX models, you will be purchasing one of the finest, fuel efficient icons in Hondas history.

The New 2006 Honda Civic

The New 2006 Honda Civic
By Duane Boodasingh

The new, redesigned and reengineered 8th generation Honda Civic was finally revealed to the public of Trinidad & Tobago. We at trinituner.com feel this his fully loaded sedan will set a new benchmark in quality and performance for our market.

We test drove the 2006 Civic and can definitely report that the build quality both interior and exterior is exceptional. There are details on the interior that prove that Honda has 'upped the ante' with regards to ammenities, esthetics and features that are not usually expected in a small sedan. We will refer to it as 'upscale ambience' as it really impressed us. The forward thinking two-tiered instrument cluster is a real eye catcher with its indiglo blue ambient light.

The handling was commendable and especially soft. The 1.8 iVTEC engine with CVT pulled relatively strong through the powerband, though the CVT never let us feel any gear ratio changes. We were not able to test drive a unit with manual transmission but we are sure that it would carry the rewarding feel of previous Honda gearboxes when mated to this 1800cc engine. We assume the suspension will be stiffer on the new Si Coupe model which should arrive in a few months with an estimated price of TT$250K.

From a tuning perspective (considering the Civic is the most tuned and modified automobile in the world) the 2006 Civic has some issues that had us thinking: The catalytic converter is directly on the exhaust manifold along with the O2 sensor. In fact it would seem there isnt much of an exhaust manifold at all! This should make setting up for AFR tuning simpler and we should see some interesting header designs in the future.

Also the engine bay is very short and so the front shock mounts are under the windshield but still accessible through removable plastic panels finishing the cowl. We wondered what interesting strut tower braces and pillow ball strut mounts the aftermarket industry would have to devise to facilitate this radical cab forward design.

Four wheel disc brakes is standard on all models and much to the delight of many tuners the wheels are also 5 hole from the factory. The trunk is huge and the sound system is good with options for MP3 and steering wheel controls. Seems like someone at Honda has been listening to its customers.

We can deifinitely see the new 2006 Civic will take the industry by storm and will have everyone from salesperson to casual driver to track-day tuner thinking outside of the proverbial box.

We definitely liked what we saw!

Honda Jazz to Debut at the Tokyo Motor Show

Honda Jazz to Debut at the Tokyo Motor Show
By Rain Stockton

Hondas first small car for India, the Jazz, will make its first public appearance at the Tokyo Motor show in October this year. Expected to be launched in a finely tuned form in India to take advantage of the taxation structure, the product is most likely to come strapped with a diesel engine.

The new Honda Jazz is built to take on Swift and Getz. Masahiro Takedagawa, chairman and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India, has already implied that the companys small cars would be positioned to fit into the lower excise duty bracket. Small cars with a certain specification of engine capacity and length attract lower tax of 16 percent as against 24 percent for bigger cars, as per the excise duty structure. The Jazz might come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine in order to draw excise benefits. Honda is traditionally known for pricing its product on the higher side. But auto analysts say that the Japanese manufacturer will have to change its stand as it treads into the compact segment.

PriceWaterhouse partner Abdul Majeed said that the B and the B+ segment cars do not give high margin. But according to him, to be able to make money in these segments, any auto maker would have to price its products aggressively to catch big volumes.

The Jazz is likely to sport a price tag of Rs 4.6-5.6 lakh to draw big volumes in the segment, given the competition from Getz and Swift. While Jazz will hit the Indian roads in 2009, another small car from the Honda stable, which is designed for the Indian market, will be launched in the country from that time on. This model would be launched one level lower in the B-segment and would rival with the likes of Hyundai Santro, Tata Indica and Maruti Wagon R.

The companys second Indian car plant, which is coming up at Takapura in Rajasthan, would manufacture the next generation Jazz. The initial capacity of plant would reach 60,000 vehicles which will be more than tripled to 2 lakh units over time. Moreover, Hondas second small car for India is also expected to be manufactured in the Takapura plant after its capacity is reinvented.

Have You Seen the New 2006 Honda Civic?

Have You Seen the New 2006 Honda Civic?
By Stuart Simpson

I just got my first glimpse of a real live 2006 Honda Civic. Impressive, to say the least. Redesigned almost completely and despite the critics, the car looks good. The interior looks even better. Let me give you my take on the vehicle at hand.

I got in the car, which seems roomier than last years model. The first thing you notice is a two level instrument panel. Its all black, so hard to discern what is on each level. With a turn of the key, the lower dash illuminates with a center-mounted tachometer while the upper tier shows a digital speedometer. This allows a much cleaner looking console believe it or not and I was able to keep my eyes on my speed and the road at the same time.

The LX model I looked at was a 4-door model with a 5 speed manual transmission. It had the standard 140hp 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine. But the new Civic DX comes standard with the features you need. Like all the airbags not just the front ones. You get the side curtain and rear air bags as well. ABS is standard with EBD Electronic Brake Distribution. It applies more braking power where its needed depending on your load. Power windows are standard now, but with the LX they added the auto up/down feature.

The LX also had a nice radio with 160 watts of power. Remote entry, cruise, 16 wheels albeit with hubcaps AC and power door locks.

The EX ups the ante to a nicer radio, 16 aluminum wheels, moonroof, and an optional satellite navigational system. 4 wheel disc brakes round off this model as the nicest of them all.

The Hybrid is different. It has a smaller engine, but with the big electric motor assist. You dont have to plug it in or anything. It charges itself. The transmission is a continuously variable type. The dealer didnt have one of these yet, but I hear they are a riot. 50 mpg and real getup and go power. You see, the gas engine and the electric engine can work at the same time. All the while you pass the gas station waving at your friends.

Finally Honda gave all the models the same engine, except the Si. Its going to have a 197 hp engine along with some other goodies and should be able to smoke the competition as always. I hope I have an opportunity to drive the new Civic Si.

The New Truck From Honda: Ridgeline

The New Truck From Honda: Ridgeline
By Stuart Simpson

The Honda Ridgeline is Hondas new pickup truck on the market. It uses Honda's unibody large vehicle platform, shared with the Acura MDX and Honda Odyssey. It is powered by an all aluminum 255 hp 3.5 L V6 coupled to a 5-speed automatic transmission with all wheel drive capable of towing 5000 lbs. The Ridgeline will be the first pickup truck with a fully-independent suspension.

Some of the more innovative features of the Ridgeline are its tailgate, which can fold down or hinge to the side, and an 8.5 cubic foot In-Bed Trunk below the truck bed. The bed is integrated with the body, similar to the Chevrolet Avalanche. The Ridgeline comes with anti-lock brakes and side-curtain airbags as standard equipment.

The bed is 49.5 x 60 with the tailgate up. With the tailgate down, you get 49.5 x 79. And remember, the tailgate also swings to the side so you can easily access the in-bed trunk. The tailgate is designed to support 300 lbs. While driving. The steel reinforced composite bed resists dents and corrosion. Another neat feature were ample tie downs in the beds and several cargo lights.

Standard towing features include prewiring 4 pin and 7 pin, along with a brake controller. Heavy duty radiator, power steering cooler, and transmission cooler keep things cool when the work begins. Huge 4 wheel disk brakes help stop quicker with the aid of the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). All the dealer has to do is install the hitch and harness.

The 8 ground clearance works well with the 4 wheel independent suspension. Yes, all 4 wheels. Unheard of in a truck, but this is a Honda. They wanted their truck to instill confidence in the corners and a stable, responsive feel while maintaining ride quality. The closed box frame and unit body construction means this truck is tough and ready to work.

Traction control is standard along with a locking rear differential for extremely low traction conditions. It can stay locked with a push of a button up to 18 mph. Along with traction control, you get stability control called Vehicle Stability Assist. This corrects your cornering problems before they even become a problem.

The tires come with tire pressure monitoring systems which will be standard in all vehicles very soon (government mandate). Air bags are all around in front, side, and side curtain. It will only deploy what is necessary depending on the type of accident. These safety features along with ABS braking make this one of the safest trucks on the road.

There are three trim levels starting with the RT, RTS and the luxury RTL. You can get heated leather seats and a moonroof. These amenities were only thought to be available in cars. This truck also has available navigation system, homelink, and a hidden in dash cd changer.

The 22 gallon tank is ample for the 16 MPG city and 21 MPG highway EPA mileage estimates. The six color combinations come with 3 interior choices. Options include a bed extender, tail light garnish, chrome bumper trim, 17 wheels, body side protectors, roof rack, fender flares, running boards and a towing package mentioned above. Ive also seen hard tonneau cover-locking for the bed, and in-bed trunk dividers. Theres a larger brush guard for the front bumper available for you off roaders.

All in all, looks to be a pretty good and well thought out truck from Honda. Check out my pictures of the Honda Ridgeline at the car show on my website.

Competition Drives Honda And Toyota Forward

Competition Drives Honda And Toyota Forward
By Anthony Fontanelle

The U.S. market has been steadily being taken over by Asian brands. In fact, it has been predicted that the domestic market share will fall below 50 percent this year. The foremost threat to U.S. car makers is the emergence of Toyota as a threat to GMs spot as the worlds largest car manufacturer.

Toyota has already cornered 15.4 percent of the market and by the way things are going, it seems that Toyota has no plan to rest on its laurels any time soon. Toyota has been the focus of attention of Detroit automakers but another Asian brand is threatening to claim their market share.

Honda is also another Asian car manufacturer which has been enjoying success in the U.S. market. While it is not as serious a threat to U.S. car makers as Toyota, the second largest Japanese car maker is steadily tightening its grip on the U.S. market. For the past ten years, Honda has steadily grown in the U.S., doubling its share in the U.S. market to 9.1 percent.

The share in the U.S. market of Honda is expected to rise since it is the only car maker that has a fuel-cell car certified for U.S. retail buyers. Since the American motoring public has turned away from gas guzzlers, environment-friendly and fuel efficient cars are in demand.

The use of fuel-cell in a car is great leap forward since the fuel used in these cars is much cheaper than gasoline. Not only that. See, the fuel-cell powered car will also generate much interest among eco-friendly drivers since a fuel-cell car is categorized as a zero emission vehicle and has been considered to be one of the really environment-friendly vehicles.

Both Toyota and Honda capitalizes on the fact that Americans are looking for fuel-efficient vehicles. Both companies boast of a lineup of eco-friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles. But what drives both these car companies to these heights is competition.

The rivalry against the top two car manufacturer in Japan has spawned a work ethic that is unmatched in the American auto scene. With their constant improvement on their cars, the competition is forced to answer back. This healthy competition paves the way for the production of vehicles that gets more and more miles per gallon.

The competition both drove the two companies to global popularity. Their competition also gave the global community cars which are not only fuel efficient but also reliable. In a recently released result of a survey, Toyota sits at the top of the list of the most reliable brand in the U.S. market. Honda, on the other hand, is the second most reliable brand in the market.

The competition between the two car makers can be seen on the way the Accord and the Camry has improved over the year. With Accord for Honda and the Camry for Toyota, the battle is raging. Both models have received improvements year after year, both companies trying to outdo each other. The competition will likely heat up once again in the coming fall, since Honda will be unveiling its new version of the Accord.

While the Camry and the Accord are going at it in the mid-size sedan market, the Ford Fusion is set to steal some of the market share away from these two, but that is a different story altogether.

The competition between the two Asian brands will only continue the development in the auto industry at a fast pace. If the current trend continues, the rise of the two Japanese car makers to the top of the leader board will be hard to stop, even with an EBC rotor and brake pads providing the stopping power.

Honda Dirt Bikes Everyone Wants A Honda

Honda Dirt Bikes - Everyone Wants A Honda
By Mark Sturge

There are dirt bikes, and then there are Honda dirt bikes. A Honda represents speed, power and maneuverability (making it obvious why they are the top-sellers). Quality is its ultimate trademark, however, and a Honda dirt bike never fails to please.

And, with a wide range of choices, you are sure to find one tailored for your racing style--whether professional or amateur, you will see and feel the difference of Honda dirt bikes. It's not just riding or racing; it becomes an experience.

And, to fully enjoy that experience, you should understand all aspects of what makes Honda dirt bikes... well, a Honda dirt bike. Don't cringe. Some history lessons are worth knowing.

Honda is a name that summons respect in the biking world, though no one would have guessed that from its dubious beginnings and low sales. When Soichiro Honda opened the first store in Los Angeles in 1959, the reception was tepid at best. The American people were already devoted to their Harleys and Triumphs. Honda tried, in vain, for that first year to sell his products, but was only able to come up with 1700 units. The American market refused to let him in.

Overseas, however, things were different. In Japan, Honda was the number one selling bike (an estimated 500,00 units sold). Throughout Europe, the bikes were starting to win races and garner attention. Honda was the top-player.

But, in America, they were nothing: just funny looking bikes that didn't seem powerful enough to fit the image motorcycles had crafted.

That was about to change.

Soichiro was not about to give up on the American and decided to change the perceptions linked to bikes. They were no longer for hulking men with beards and dirty leather jackets; they were for anyone who just wanted a ride around town.

Honda began a campaign of happiness, blanketing the market with everyday men and woman riding his bikes, all grinning and cheerful. The result was a new way to look at bikes--Honda's were seen as the better choice, the every-man choice.

They've remained that way ever since.

And the reason they've remained on top? They offer great selection and great quality.

Now, if you're purchasing one of your first Honda dirt bikes, you need to see which part of that great selection works best for you. There are many bikes to choose from and you want to pick perfection. So, first decide what it is you intend to do--are you looking to start racing professionally, or are you just wanting something solid to ride the trails with? Whatever your scenario, there is a Honda dirt bike built for you.

The Niche The Honda CRV Has

The Niche The Honda CR-V Has
By Joe Thompson

In over 160 countries spread all across the globe, the Honda CR-V is being sold and marketed. And in most of these markets, the Honda CR-V has already gained much fame and reputation as a vehicle that just takes on the challenge and works out real fine.

The version of the 2007 Honda CR-V is actually all part of the vehicles third generation. And it looks like there is no stopping the changes and the type of features that this vehicle is going to have. The engineers straight right out of the plants and facilities of the company do make sure that the vehicle holds the most capable Honda auto parts to outfit the vehicle and the performance driven engines that they could create. After all, the Honda CR-V is the brands compact sport utility vehicle that reaps in more sales for the company.

What would also be new for 2007 is that the Honda CR-V would now be coming in two variations. One would be the popular SUV type of vehicle. The other one, the new one, would be just like the usual however this one would be coming as a two wheel drive. Plus, the 2007 version would be coming with a total redesign. Plus, with a new sheet metal, the Honda CR-V would be coming with an even better drag coefficient. Its exterior has also been changed for you can notice the new and rounder shape. You would also see that the front end has gotten quite sharper and the headlamps have been made to be profiled.

But these are not the only things you would find quite desirable with the new Honda CR-V. If previous models had a rear door that opened at the side, you would now find that such a feature has been deleted. In its place, a liftgate was installed. Mitsuru Horikoshi is the head engine of Honda and on the changes done to the Honda CR-V, he says, Such a decision wasnt easy. The old rear door was also used to support the spare tire. So, we had to integrate it and we chose to place in the trunk, which allowed us to install the new liftgate.

Child Safety is Not Ignored in a 2006 Honda Accord

Child Safety is Not Ignored in a 2006 Honda Accord
By Amber M Sell

When purchasing a new car, do you consider safety above all the other decorative features? If you have children, your answer should definitely be yes. Most parents use their cars every single day, often with their children riding along. For this reason it is so important to always be aware of your childs safety while riding in the car. Automobile crashes are the leading cause of unintentional death among children under the age of 14, which is why it is surprising to hear that up to 14% of children are still riding unrestrained in cars.

Your children are the most important investments you have. What measures are you taking to guarantee your children safety while riding in a car? One step you can take is to be sure the car you drive offers only the highest level of protection. The 2006 Honda Accord is a reliable vehicle that not only meets all government regulations, but exceeds expectations on all safety features. Every feature emphasizes protection for children, including the LATCH and Child-Seat Anchors and the Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS).

LATCH and Child-Seat Tether Anchors
By law, children must be restrained at all times while riding in a car. Child car seats are extremely effective at reducing the risk of death. In fact, they reduce the risk of death by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers. LATCH, standing for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children, is a new car seat attachment system that was developed to make child car seats easier to use and safer. With LATCH, you no longer have to use seat belts to secure child car seats in your vehicle because of the lower anchors and attachments that are built into the car. This will make car seat installation easier and more secure. Most vehicles built in or after 2002 will have LATCH.

The 2006 Honda Accord is built with the outer rear seats featuring the LATCH system for child seats. It consists of 2 lower anchors and a single top tethor to make sure the car seat is properly mounted. It is estimated that about 85% of car seats are installed incorrectly. The LATCH system makes installation easy and completely secure. For car seats that are not compatible with LATCH, they can be safely mounted in the rear seat of any 2006 Honda Accord using the lockable seat belt retractor.

Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS)

The 2006 Honda Accord truly goes above and beyond any ordinary regulations with the safety features of front side airbags and OPDS. In the event of an impact to the side of the car, sensors will cause side airbag to immediately inflate. The airbag provide a cushion between the occupants shoulder and door, ultimately protecting the drivers or front passengers upper body from any significant impact. The OPDS uses a total of seven sensors in the front passengers seatback to detect the height and seating position of the passenger. If a child or small-statured adult is leaning forward into the path of the side airbag, the sensors will deactivate it. The driver will immediately be notified by a warning light.

Similarly, the warning light will turn off as soon as the passenger sits back in the upright position. This feature is convenient for parents with older children riding in the passenger seat. No longer are airbags a worry because of the advanced sensors that monitor your children for you. This feature is also built into the and Honda Odyssey.

The 2006 Honda Accord continues its tradition of being among the best cars on the market. Make safety your first priority with the 2006 Honda Accord. It will give you all the safety measures and precautions to keep your family safe.

Check Out The Honda ATV Line

Check Out The Honda ATV Line
By Donovan Keithly

Got some tough terrain to cover? Forget the yuppie Hummer and check out the Honda ATV line. Sure both will cover that tough terrain without any trouble but the ATV is a smarter and much more affordable choice.

You'll get a four stroke engine with aggressive off road tires, all wheel drive, and carrying racks so whether you are in the lumber or oil industry, working the farm, or going on a hunting trip your ATV is capable of going the distance. The 4x4 will leave no terrain untouched.

Honda's entry back into the 4x4 utility class back in the late 1990s was a bonus to those Honda customers that had been forced to look elsewhere. The sideways motor meant a lighter unit coming in just over 500 pounds. That makes it quite a bit lighter than the competitions model.

And they offer a wide selection of colors so if you are looking for something that blends for that hunting trip Honda has you covered with their low key color schemes. Then again if you are looking for something a little racier they can offer that too.

There ATVS come with heavy duty triple drum brakes and a five speed transmission. This ones a real work horse. And there's no worry about storage as you can add the front or rear rack or both. And with so many styles to choose from you'll be able to select the appropriate style.

This is an ATV that's designed to get the job done. Top speed on the Honda varies but it runs around 50 mph depending on the model. That means you can get from one point to another in no time. And the heavy duty suspension will ensure your ride is comfortable even over the roughest terrain.

Honda's fender design makes it a great choice for any stream crossing you need to do. It offers adequate protection as long as you keep your speed under the 40 mph mark. And it keeps a good traction pattern going even in the water.

And if you need to put the Honda to the test with some serious pulling you won't be disappointed. Its 850 pound towing capacity means you'll have no problem dragging that pole across the property. Or that big log - no problem what so ever!

When it comes to ground clearance once again Honda was thinking. Obstacles won't be a problem and rugged terrain will be like a walk in the park. Over rocks, down the gully, whatever you can throw at it as long as you keep your speed low the engine won't let you down. And the Honda ATV is one machine that's tough to get stuck.

And as with everything Honda seems to do there is always that extra touch like the recoil starter just in case you land up with a dead battery. Won't matter that you are out in the middle of nowhere you'll get your ATV started with little effort.

Honda is a name you can trust. They've been building motorcycles, watercraft, and ATV's for years. If you are in the market and want to be sure you get reliability, durability, and affordability then a Honda ATV is the right choice.

Donovan has been a SUV owner for the past 10 years. Hes an active outdoors person who loves to go off roading in his ATV. He has owned and operated countless ATVs over the years and shares his riding techniques as well as model reviews on his site. To find out more visit the ATV reviews website.

Looking for sports-car kicks, but with the abundance of speed parts and vast modification potential of a Civic? Look no further than Honda's feisty little CRX.

These pocket-size coupes made their debut for 1984. Essentially a two-seat version of the redesigned Civic also introduced that year, the CRX was initially aimed at people who sought frugal commuting (base 1.3-liter versions had EPA fuel economy ratings of 51 mpg city, 67 highway).

But the real news for enthusiasts came the following year when Honda gave the CRX its sporty Si version, which included upgraded suspension, performance-oriented tires, and a hotter 91-hp version of its 1.5-liter engine -- good for sub-nine-second 0-60 mph times in the featherweight car.

For 1988, an all-new CRX bowed, based again on a new Civic platform. CRX's wheelbase increased, and this second-generation design was somewhat heavier and bigger overall. Fortunately, performance remained in the same league, with the Si's horsepower rating increasing to 105, then 108 the following year. For 1990, CRX got four-wheel-disc brakes.

As sweet of a car as it was, this generation of CRX was destined to be the last -- Honda discontinued the line after 1991, replacing it with the similar but open-roofed Del Sol several years later.

Today, used CRXs are pretty easy to find, but it can sometimes be hard to gauge their true value -- completely stock ones are showing up less and less since these cars became immensely popular with sport-compact fans. The price of a particular CRX can often depend on the various upgrades it's received.

Popular mods include body kits, custom paint, aftermarket wheels, and hotter VTEC engine swaps. As with any modified car, look closely at how well upgrades are executed. In most cases, the work will have been done by the car's owner, whose talent, budget, and experience are unknowns.

Most CRXs now sell for less than $5000, with many of them below $3000. Those sub-$3k CRXs tend to be unmodified. And unmodified CRXs also tend to be unrestored.

That can be an important point, because all CRXs are at least 14 years old -- a lot them are pretty tired. You aren't likely to find a CRX with less than 100,000 miles at this point. Therefore buyers who want a completely stock example to start with will need to carefully consider how much money and patience they're willing to devote to basic mechanical repairs.

First-generation CRXs are getting kind of scarce, but if you have your heart set on their lighter weight and trimmer dimensions, those cars can be found with a little patience. And one plus is that they tend to show up in the lower end of the price range.

Regardless of what generation or level of modification, Honda's little CRXs can offer big-time fun. They're good performers to start with, there's plenty of aftermarket stuff available, and prices are about as low as performance cars go. Check 'em out.

To Bait Investors Honda Plans To Raise Dividends

To Bait Investors, Honda Plans To Raise Dividends
By Anthony Fontanelle

Japanese stocks dropped, led by carmakers including the Honda Motor Co., on assumption that profits will be restricted by slower growth at home and abroad this year. This is why the Japanese automaker intends to raise its dividends.

Automakers are struggling with their domestic sales and it looks like their earnings will peak out in the near future,'' said Shigemi Nonaka, the chairman at Polestar Investment Management Co. in Tokyo which has $218 million in assets. Power companies aren't attractive anymore now they've paid their dividends and because a possible gain in crude prices may curb their profit growth this year.''

According to the Japan Auto Dealers Association in Tokyo, motor vehicle sales in Japan declined by ten percent from a year earlier in April, after decreasing 13 percent in March. Honda's stock lost 13 percent in the last three months, while Toyota fell some 9.5 percent as concerns have mounted that the U.S. economy, the largest overseas market for automakers, is growing at a slower pace. Also, the automaker forecasted last April 25 that its net income will decline 2.9 percent for the year to March 2008.

It's becoming clear that the U.S. auto market is slowing down,'' Shingo Hayashi, an analyst at Daiwa Institute of Research wrote in a May 7 note lowering the recommendation of Honda shares to neutral from outperform. He added, There's a high chance total auto sales in the U.S. this year will be lower than the previous year,' he wrote.

The second largest automaker in Japan intends to pay out more of its net income in dividends to bolster shareholder returns that have lagged those of its closest Japanese rival, Toyota. The automaker will pay out 30 percent of net income in dividends within two to three years as compared with 25 percent this fiscal year, Honda's chief financial officer, Fumihiko Ike, said in an interview.

In the past 12 months, Honda's shares have plummeted 1.3 percent as compared with a 6.7 percent gain for Toyota and a 1.9 percent increase in the benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average. The Tokyo-based carmaker will raise dividends even as it forecasts profit will fall for a second year because of higher costs for aluminum and precious metals. Raising cash dividends attracts more investors than buying back shares, said Yoshihiro Okumura, a general manager at Chiba-gin Asset Management.

The automaker plans to pay 80 or $0.67, a share this business year, up from 67 in 2006. The company is paying 20 every quarter this fiscal year. Toyota paid out 21.3 percent of its net income in dividends in the year that ended in March 2006 and plans to return 30 percent of profits to shareholders in dividends within two to four years.

We want to lure more investors, said Ike. We want to increase cash payments. Additionally, Honda said last month that it expected its net income to fall around 2.9 percent to 575 billion, or $4.79 billion, in the 12 months started April 1, from 592 billion the previous year. The forecast isn't conservative, Ike said, citing soaring prices for aluminum and precious metals and a weaker American market. He also expects the yen to increase against the dollar. The company will pay out 20.6 percent of the net income in dividends for last fiscal year, which ended in March. The final dividend will be paid in June.

Honda, which generates as much as 70 percent of its operating profit in the United States, expects the total auto demand in the country to be at 16.4 million vehicles this year, down from the previous 16.55 million in 2006. Honda expects its global vehicle sales to rise 7.7 percent to 3.94 million units in the year ending next March. It forecasts that vehicle sales will increase 2.9 percent in North America and that number is less than its gain of 6.3 percent in the same period a year earlier.

We will still increase sales in a shrinking market, Ike said, citing its redesigned CRV sport utility vehicle, Accord sedan and the Fit compact car. Hondas American market share increased 0.4 percentage points to 9.2 percent in the first four months of this year, taking away share from General Motors Corp. and the Ford Motor Co.

Honda would likely have gained even more if its suppliers had been able to raise production to meet demand, said Koji Endo at Credit Suisse Group in Tokyo. Honda forecasts its capital expenditure to rise 13 percent to 710 billion yen this business year and it will probably maintain the same level through 2010, Ike said.

At present, the automaker is building a factory, which will integrate the Honda clutch, engines and other auto parts to its product lines. The new factory in Japan will open by 2010. Also, its sixth North American assembly plant in Indiana will build Civics and CRVs next year.

Honda Civic and Accord

Honda Civic and Accord
By Matthew Keegan

There are two names that define Honda cars more than any other: Civic and Accord. Sure, newer models have sprung up including the CR-V, Element, Insight, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and more. Yet, it is these two heralded models that continue to make up the backbone of the famed Japanese automaker even to this day. Lets look at the history of the Civic and Accord and how these models have brought Honda to where it is today: a seller of vehicles espousing world class quality and affordability.

The Honda Civic has graced American roads since the early 1970s. For years it attracted quiet notice as it was truly a mini amongst giants. Consumers had pet names for the car including - pregnant roller skate - yet the car began to quickly attract a loyal following. Indeed, with two fuel shortages popping up in the 1970s the gas sipping Civic caught on for its economy as well as for its reliability. To this day, 30 year old plus Civics can still be seen around town as owners carefully maintain their vehicles with the highest quality Honda Civic parts. Todays Civics, although larger than their predecessors continue to receive accolades including receiving an all around five star safety rating from the NHTSA.

In the early 1980s Honda introduced the Accord, a five passenger sedan. With the opening of Hondas first US automotive plant in 1982, the Accord quickly established itself as a segment darling with consumers. By 2001, the Accord became the best selling car in the US, bypassing the ever popular Toyota Camry. Since then, the two cars have been the top sellers in the U.S. Well crafted Honda Accord parts are keeping even the most classic Accord on the road today. Indeed, it is this level of quality and reliability which continues to make Honda cars a world leader in value as well as dependability.

So, whether you own an older Accord or Civic or one of Hondas many newer models you can keep your car running for years by purchasing reliable Honda Civic radiators and other parts as needed. Honda reliability and dependability are trademarks of this esteemed Japanese automaker and all of their models are certain to continue to be world class performers for many more years.

Honda Odyssey 2006: The Weekly Driver

Honda Odyssey 2006: The Weekly Driver
By James Raia

Since its 1999 debut, the Honda Odyssey has been at the front of the minivan ranks. It combines superior styling, functionality and versatility. And it performs like a sedan masquerading as an eight-passenger van.

The 2006 edition further solidifies the vehicle's pedigree.

Much of the Odyssey's current styling and improvements were added in 2005. And there was no reason to mess with a good thing. The Odyssey's cavernous interior space, its well-designed seat configuration and overall comfort are hard to beat.

My test vehicle for the week was the Touring edition, one of seven available Odysseys, and the most expensive. The minivan has a huge price range, with the LX model offered at $25,195 and the Touring edition with DVD navigation offered at $38,495.

My weekly test included a frequently visited testing ground -- the 400-mile round trip from Sacramento to the Monterey Peninsula. The journey always includes numerous driving scenarios -- wide-open, high-speed Interstate 5 to the narrow, uneven side streets of Carmel.

Minivans are largely marketed toward families or for small groups. But for the last three years, I've traveled solo several times for several hundred miles in minivans. It's hardly the most economically efficient choice. But with the Odyssey, the journey is pleasant despite the vast amount of unused space.

Climbing and exploring around and through the vehicle, though, a solo traveler can get a good sense of things.

The second row of seats, for example, has superior head room and the bucket seats are adjustable into many positions. They can also be moved together to form a bench seat that can be slid forward and aft.

The third-row seat folds into the floor, which further extents available cargo space and alleviates a problem in other similar vehicles. A third seat not in use in an Odyssey doesn't have to be stored elsewhere. And iif all rows of seats are in use, there's a deep, rectangular space behind the third seat for additional cargo space.

Considering the Odyssey's Touring edition is the line's most expensive offering, the optional features simply enhance the generous offering of standard features.

The standard feature list on the LX model includes: remote keyless entry, AM/FM radio with CD player, all-power functions -- locks to mirrors to windows. Subsequent higher-priced models include myriad offerings -- power sunroof to navigation system, automatic headlights to power-sliding side doors.

The Touring edition has refinements like satellite radio, rearview camera and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.

I first drove the Odyssey in 2004. That year, the automatic shifting arm was positioned behind the shorter arm that operated the windshield wipers. More than once, I reached for the shifting arm and engaged the windshield wipers or windshield cleaning spray function. The shifting mechanism is now a short-shifting lever, efficiently positioned at an angle on the near instrumentation panel.

Driving the Odyssey is pleasant. While never mistaken for a powerful sedan or a zippy sports car, the 3.5-liter 255-horsepower, V6 engine fares well -- better than some in either aforementioned class.

The drive to Monterey has winding, steep inclines to stop-and-go situations. The Odyssey handles itself well and its does so with efficient steering, good visibility and a strong, quiet ride.

The Odyssey has two small issues. The rear view camera -- visible on a small screen on the stereo console -- shows the area immediately behind the vehicle. It's a nice feature, but the view is blurry and there's a substantial trust factor learning curve -- at least there was for me.

Another issue: Both sliding side doors can open and close automatically via buttons of the keyless entry fob. But the function hasn't quite been perfected. There's a delay when opening or close doors, and on more than one occasion, the doors stopped before completely closing.

Nonetheless, the Odyssey well deserves its position as the minivan leader. Like other Hondas, it's hard to top in its class, whether used by a solo driver or a family on vacation.

Of course, if an Odyssey driver has only one passenger, the driver may spend a lot of time alone. The passenger could easily prefer to spend time in the comfort of the apartment in the back two seats.

The Weekly Driver: 2006 Honda Odyssey

Safety features -- Dual front, front side and side curtain airbags.

Fuel Mileage (estimates) -- 20 mph (city), 28 mph (highway).

Warranty -- Bumper to bumper, 3 years/36,000 miles; Extended Power train, 5 years/60,000 miles; Corrosion, 5 years/unlimited mileage; Roadside assistance, 3 years/36,000 miles.

Price range -- $25,195 to $38,795.

AwardWinning Pickup From Honda: The Ridgeline

Award-Winning Pickup From Honda: The Ridgeline
By Joe Thompson

One of the hottest commodities in the pickup industry is the Honda Ridgeline. It has swept almost all truck of the year awards given out by major motor shows. This may not be a surprise, after all, the giant of a company that is Honda has been known for introducing to the public innovative and technologically advanced vehicles.

It would not surprise a driver if he found himself enjoying the full sized pickup from the moment he set his eyes on it. The beauty of this car does not end in its looks. While the design of the car is modern and is an eye candy, the manufacturers did not just stop there, of course. This monster of a car boasts of a unit-body full frame structure. This, in itself, is an innovation which takes this car on top of its class. The design brought to life by engineering geniuses of the company gives the car a very rigid structure. It also has front and rear end crumple zones in addition to having a rigid frame thereby increasing the safety of both driver and passengers in case of crashes. It is also dubbed as the pickup that will most likely not roll over.

Another reason for the fuss about this car is its In-bed Trunk. The Ridgeline tonneau is also another innovation which gives the user a storage area below the pickup bed, a convenient solution to storing supplies safe and dry.

Performance-wise, the vehicle is also one of the best in the market today. Its powerhouse is a 3.5 litre, 24 valve, SOHC VTEC V6 engine capable of giving the driver of up to 247 units of horsepower and a torque of 245 lb. ft. While this may not sound much compared to other models with bigger engines, but it is enough to power the pickup very well. All this power is transferred on all four tires of the truck, but during dry road driving, it is a two wheel drive vehicle. Once the going gets tough, the Variable Torque Management (VTM4) system goes to work and sends power to the tire needing traction. It is done so through its five-speed automatic with fluid cooler transmission.

In addition to that the vehicle has a Vehicle Stability Assist which keeps drivers from getting into troubles. The system automatically compensates for both oversteer or understeer. It has independent suspensions for both front and rear giving the driver the confidence to tackle hard off road conditions.

Tonneau Cover for the Honda Ridgeline

Tonneau Cover for the Honda Ridgeline
By Ken Bishop

When asked recently What tonneau cover would fit a Honda Ridgeline? I really had to dig but there are a few covers that fit the bill. First of all not being familiar with the Ridgeline by Honda I had to investigate. The Honda Ridgeline looks sort of like a cross between an SUV and a pickup truck. I certainly am not knocking this vehicle I think it looks absolutely great. Unfortunately at the time I wrote this article there are not a lot of tonneau covers manufactured to fit this pickup truck. I do hope that changes in the near future.

The first and my favorite for the said automobile that I did find is the BakFlip folding tonneau cover by Bak. This is a lockable hardtop tonneau cover made from an ABS plastic laminated over a honey comb core for extra strength. This tonneau cover allows you quick easy access to your truck bed by folding up in sections and when folded back all the way, it protects your rear window from large loads. The cover is easily removed by loosening a couple of wing nuts. This cover would add a great look to an already great looking automobile.

The next tonneau cover I found for the Honda Ridgeline is the Lo Pro soft roll-up truck bed cover by Truxedo. This soft roll-up tonneau has no snaps, it uses large velcro loop system for great sealing. This tonneau cover has a patented tension control so it will keep a snug fit on your Honda Ridgeline in all types of weather conditions. The Lo Pro rolls up and out of the way for easy access to your complete truck bed.

The last tonneau I found to fit the Honda Ridgeline was the Access Roll-up tonneau cover. The roll-up by Access also uses a hook and loop system to seal the tonneau. This cover uses an easy dial tensioner to keep the tonneau snug. The frame of this tonneau is made from aluminum and everything rolls up quickly to get at the bed of your Honda Ridgeline.

Whatever your choice is you will be getting a quality tonneau cover with any of these three truck bed covers. There are not a lot of tonneau covers for the Honda Ridgeline but these three would all look great on this pickup truck.

What To Look For In A Honda Civic Cat Back Exhaust

What To Look For In A Honda Civic Cat Back Exhaust
By Garland Robinson

Modifying your exhaust system on your Honda Civic is one of the most cost effective solutions to adding horsepower and torque. The exhaust system is made up of the exhaust manifold(header), downpipe, catalytic converter, muffler, and exhaust tip. Since we are discussing Honda Civic cat back exhausts we will be concerned with the piping and muffler choice.

There are several options when it comes to Honda Civic cat back exhausts. You could buy a direct bolt-on kit from one of the several exhaust system manufacturers. You also could purchase a system from a local muffler shop. Each choice has distinct advantages and disadvantages.

To understand why its necessary to upgrade to a Honda Civic cat back exhaust, I'm going to use an analogy. Its all about exhaust escape velocity and exhaust flow capacity. Imagine a water hose. If you take off the spray nozzle the water will flow slowly, but it will flow out at more volume. If you attach the nozzle the water will flow faster, but volume will decrease. In order to make good power from a Honda Civic cat back exhaust you are going to want to find the perfect balance between velocity and flow. This is where your Honda Civic cat back exhausts piping size comes into play.

Honda Civics utilize a small four cylinder engine for power production. This means that for naturally aspirated applications(no forced induction) you do not need piping any larger than 2.25 inches. If you go any larger you will notice a decrease in bottom end power. Larger piping is like taking the nozzle off of the water hose. Higher exhaust flow, but decreased velocity.

The muffler that is used in your Honda Civic cat back exhaust also effects total power gained. You may choose to go for a glasspack, which is a canister stuffed with fiberglass to reduce noise. These type of mufflers flow extremely well, but they are extremely loud. You may draw unwanted attention from your local law enforcement officers.

Honda Civic cat back exhausts sometimes employ other canister style mufflers that use a combination of baffles and fiberglass to reduce noise. This is the most common choice of Honda Civic tuners. These type of mufflers give your Honda Civic that signature unmistakable Honda four cylinder exhaust tone.

Another choice is to have no muffler at all! This will provide you with the best flow, however the noise will be almost unbearable to those outside of your vehicle. I would only recommend doing this if you were going to use your Honda Civic for off-road use only, such as drag racing or autocross.

Honda Civic cat back exhausts come in many different forms and fashions. Choosing the correct one will set your Honda Civic apart from all of the others. Remember to shop around and consult other Honda Civic tuners to help you make a good buying decision.
